It is a thrilling journey that begins in Krakow and ends to Auschwitz - Birkenau going through the detailed and well organized information that Schindler's factory museum offers . Being there, breathing that air and walk on that land can help you better understand the magnitude of the Holocaust, although I believe that we can never fully imagine the victim's suffering.
It is definitely an experience to be done and why not, bringing the kids along without fear or anxiety. It's part of our history and they should see it up close. We and our friends did it. The children understood (6, 7, 8.11 and 12 years), and got it! without any trauma nor nightmares thanks to our guides and friends of Krakow, who designed this site, these interesting itineraries making this part of the story so genuine.
A very special thanks to Ewa, who has won the affection of all of us but especially the children's by rewarding them in the end or the trip the title of "Honorary Members of the Friends of Krakow" (card that our children keep between their very special travel memories).
Another huge thanks to Margaret, who was able to be followed very closely by our little ones during 6 hours of concentration camps! Surely this comment is enough to show her great skill and eloquence. This was perhaps the most critical point of this trip with children ...
And finally, regards also to Krakow, its beautiful Piazza, his old city center, its ghetto, its wonderful Kazimierz. And... by Sofia and Francis ... greetings to the fire-breathing dragon!.
To who may read this: made this trip, bring your children!. It 's something that remains, that makes you grow, that definitely enriches you.
